Mr. Sim Sorya is a lawyer, arbitrator, and mediator. Experience includes director, deputy director, technical advisor, analysis chief, investigator, and researcher in areas of international crimes, labor, and commercial arbitration. He litigates civil, commercial, and criminal cases. He is also counsel and consultant in cases involving real estate and construction before the National Commercial Arbitration Centre (Cambodia).
Sorya speaks native Khmer, is proficient in English, and is conversant in Thai, Vietnamese, and a little French. In addition to a Yale University MA degree and Fulbright Scholarship, Sorya obtained an English-based Bachelor of Law degree in Phnom Penh, with the highest scores in commercial arbitration class and moot court competition. He also holds a B.Ed. in English teaching from the Institute of Foreign Language in Cambodia.
